Armenia stated that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces stopped shelling on the border.

The Azerbaijani Armed Forces stopped shelling Armenian positions on the southern section of the border, the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Defense announced in the Telegram channel.

“As of 9.30, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces ceased fire in the direction of the Armenian positions located in the Nerkin Hand region (Syunik region),” the department said in a statement.

The Ministry of Defense called on the media not to publish unverified information, not to refer to persons who have insufficient and inaccurate information about the situation on the front line, and to follow official reports from the defense department.

“The Ministry of Defense will duly inform the public about the losses and health status of the wounded on the Armenian side,” the ministry added.

On Monday, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense accused the Armenian Armed Forces of shelling its territory and wounding one soldier. On Tuesday morning, the Armenian Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of shelling by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in the direction of Nerkin Khanda from the Armenian side, according to preliminary data, two people were killed and wounded.
