An earthquake of magnitude 5.8 was recorded on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reports.

The earthquake was recorded on Saturday at 03.32 UTC time, nine kilometers south of the village of Tungao with a population of 8.9 thousand people. The outbreak lay at a depth of 10 kilometers.
