Poland called for the transfer of the European Union’s defense industry to a military mode of operation.

The military industry of the European Union must be transferred to a military mode of operation, Polish Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh told reporters after the end of the meeting of the Council of Ministers.

He said that at one time Polish ministers held a number of meetings with colleagues from the European Union on the topic of Ukraine, and added that “we have the feeling after the ministerial discussions that we are getting used to the war,” and “it’s impossible to get used to it.”

He called for the EU’s military industry to be transferred to a military mode of operation. “We must support Ukraine. Military support for Ukraine, its strengthening – we must awaken the military industry in Europe. It cannot be that it is in a state of hibernation, in a state of normal functioning,” the minister said, adding that “there is no longer normal functioning neither in Poland nor in Europe” when the conflict continues nearby.
