Poland joined the G7 declaration of support for Ukraine.

Poland has joined the G7 declaration of support for Ukraine, adopted at the NATO summit in Vilnius, Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who arrived on a visit to Ukraine, said at a joint press conference in Kiev with Vladimir Zelensky.

“Poland today joined the G7 declaration formulated in Vilnius during the NATO summit, which is designed to mobilize democratic countries to support Ukraine,” he said.

The G7 countries at the NATO summit in Vilnius published a declaration in support of Ukraine, but the security commitments mentioned in it do not provide for specific implementation timelines, like previous promises regarding Ukrainian membership in the alliance. Kiev hopes that “security guarantees” will be in place before the NATO summit in Washington in 2024.

As previously reported by the media, security guarantees for Ukraine can be formalized as bilateral agreements with France, Germany, the United States and a number of other countries on long-term financing, military supplies, training of soldiers, and so on.
