A fire broke out at the residence of the Greek Prime Minister.

The fire occurred in the Maxima Palace, the residence of the Prime Minister of Greece, the fire was quickly extinguished, the damage was minor, the Greek Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection reported.

“This morning there was a fire in the adjacent warehouse on the ground floor of the Maxim mansion. 24 firefighters with seven engines took part in the extinguishing. The fire was quickly localized, causing only minor material damage,” the ministry said in a statement.

It is clarified that the incident is being investigated by the competent investigative department.

The residence of the Prime Minister of Greece is located in the very center of Athens, on Herodou Attikis Street. There is a fire station not far from it.
