The Biden campaign compared Trump to Hitler.

The Biden campaign compared Trump to Hitler.

The campaign headquarters of US President Joe Biden compared the statements of the former head of state and his main rival in the upcoming elections, Donald Trump, with the speeches of the leader of Nazi Germany, Adolf Hitler.

The corresponding message with the caption “This is not a coincidence” was published on the Biden campaign’s social network account X. In the image published there, the Biden campaign compared Trump’s statements about migrants who allegedly “poison the blood” of the United States and Hitler’s speeches about “blood pollution.” Biden’s campaign also compared Trump’s phrase about the internal enemies of the United States with Hitler’s statement about the need to recognize the existence of an internal enemy in Germany.

As Politico notes, such actions by the Biden campaign have long become common practice aimed at discrediting Trump.

As the publication emphasizes, although Biden himself had previously avoided comparing Trump with the Nazi leader in his speeches, on December 19, during fundraising events for the election campaign, the president said that the speeches of the former owner of the White House were reminiscent of statements “coming from Germany in the 30s years.”

In turn, NBC News, citing senior representatives of the Biden campaign, reported that they are still considering options on how best to present to citizens the consequences of Trump’s return to the White House. At the same time, they have to be careful in their wording so as not to overdo it and not scare away potential voters with loud statements.

Trump himself previously called not to laugh at the mental abilities of Biden, who is already 81 years old. At the same time, he did not deny that he himself often parodies Biden at rallies, portraying how the current US president cannot leave the stage after speeches.

This is not the first time Democrats have compared Trump to Hitler. In particular, in November, former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton drew a parallel with Hitler when talking about Trump’s possible victory in the 2024 elections. Trump himself, however, stated that he had never read Adolf Hitler’s book Mein Kampf, and also promised not to become a dictator if he won the election.
