The ship sank in the Suez Canal after colliding with a tanker.

The tugboat sank after colliding with a tanker in the Suez Canal, rescue work is underway, the waterway administration said in a statement.

According to the statement, the CHINAGAS LEGEND tanker sailing from Singapore to the US under the flag of Hong Kong collided with the Fahd tug belonging to the Suez Canal administration.

It is reported that as a result of a collision that occurred in the El Ballah area at 51 kilometers of the Suez Canal, the tugboat sank.

“The Marine Rescue Brigade was sent to rescue the crew of the tugboat, consisting of seven people. Rescue work continues,” the administration of the Suez Canal said.
