Nicolás Petro, son of Colombian President Gustavo Petro, has been arrested on suspicion of laundering assets, the prosecutor general’s office said.

“The Prosecutor General’s Office reports that on July 29 at 6 am, in accordance with the order of the court, the arrest warrant for Nicolás Fernando Petro Burgos, (suspected) in asset laundering and illegal enrichment, was executed,” the report says.
