The North Korean Foreign Ministry threatened the United States with consequences for words about the arms trade with Russia.

If the United States continues to disseminate information about the arms trade between Russia and North Korea, it will face undesirable consequences, said Kwon Jong Geun, director of the US Department of Foreign Affairs at the Republic’s Foreign Ministry.

“This time, the US has once again put forward the baseless ‘arms trade prospect’ and foolishly tried to justify its supply of arms to Ukraine. <…> The United States must bear in mind that they will face truly uninteresting consequences if they continue to spread nonsense against our country” , – he said.

The diplomat added that if the United States did not push NATO to expand to the East, infringing on the legitimate security interests of Russia, then the current situation in Ukraine would not exist.

Arms supplies to Ukraine are criminal and are designed to keep the international situation in an unstable state, he concluded.
