The United States spoke about the tightening of supervision over the allocation of assistance to Ukraine.

Michael McCall, member of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, warned of tightening oversight and a move to a more responsible approach to providing assistance to Ukraine.

The US Congress will start working in a new composition based on the results of the midterm elections from January 2023, according to the channel, McCall is the main contender for the chair of the foreign affairs committee.

“We will provide more oversight, transparency and accountability,” the Republican congressman told ABC on Sunday, commenting on upcoming changes in the House’s approach to helping Kyiv.

According to the legislator, the majority of members of Congress, both Democrats and Republicans, agree with the need for a more responsible approach to the allocation of assistance. At the same time, McCall stressed that Congress intends to continue to provide assistance to Ukraine.

Earlier, Republicans in the US House of Representatives submitted a bill to audit the allocated funds for aid to Ukraine, said Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green, the controversial author of resolutions to impeach the current US President Joe Biden. The bill was also supported by ten of her fellow party members.
