Spice Girls to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding

Spice Girls to perform at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding

The Spice Girls definitely reunites, the girl band will be going to sing at the wedding of the year, said Mel B during the US chat show.

Spice Girls will be part of the entertainment programme for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May, 19. Not bad, taking into account that both Prince and his fiancee are fans of the British girl band. There is the photo of 1997 where teen Harry is smiling with three Spice Girls performers.

One of the brightest band members, Mel B, appeared to confirm the news when she told a US chat show that she will be attending the royal wedding with “us five Spice Girls”. Asked if the group will be performing, the 42-year-old shook her head, as if to confirm the suggestion, and confessed “I’m going to be fired” before throwing a set of papers in the air.

Prince Harry and Meghan, who announced their engagement in November, are set to tie the knot in Windsor on 19 May, and so far it has not been revealed how the ceremony, or the reception, will take shape.

Meghan Markle is a fan of Spice Girls since the 90s

American fiancee confessed that she liked the Spice Girls music and even attended one of its gigs in the 90s, while Prince Harry was famously photographed alongside the group as a boy back in 1997.

Earlier this year the band confirmed rumoured plans they are to reunite on fresh projects. The news came after Geri Horner, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Melanie Chisholm reunited at Horner’s Hertfordshire home. Victoria Beckham has already assured fans she will not sing live as part of the reunion and shunned talk of a new tour as part of the comeback. New projects Publicist Jo Milloy said of their reunion:

“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together.”

For Spice Girls, it is the rightest time to explore some incredible new opportunities together while reinforcing their message of female empowerment for future generations.
