Salvador Dalí is buried underneath the theatre in his Catalonian hometown of Figueres, now, after the order of the Spanish judge, the famous painter’s body should be exhumed. Ms Pilar Abel is insisting that Dali is her biological father because of their physical likeness.
A 60-year-old Spanish woman’s claims became a reson for this strange act: the Spanish court has issued an order for the exhumation of Salvador Dali’s body after that woman has succeeded in winning a judicial order to do it.
After the exhumation, the specialists will carry out the DNA test to prove that love child is the child of the famous surrealist painter.
Figueres home of Dali and his only wife Gala was converted into a museum for his work, nowadays, it is one of the region’s biggest tourist attractions. In life, Salvador Dalí was known to be deeply eccentric person who was in love with the only wife, his muse Gala. For much of their marriage, they lived separately, with Gala residing in a medieval castle in a small village and Dalí allowed to visit only upon her written invitation.
DNA test for Salvador Dali
Pilar Abel lives in Girona and working as tarot cards reader for local TV station, the woman proudly describing herself as “Dali without the moustache” because of physical likeness. She started the court battle a couple of years ago, however, she took a DNA test in July 2007 in Madrid using skin and hair remains she had obtained from a death mask of the painter which turned out to be inconclusive.
Earlier, everyone was sure that Dali was childless person.
