Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth II arrived at the Chelsea Flower Show on Monday, this garden event is very popular. The annual show opened to royal members on Monday, while the public will be able to visit it on Thursday.
The Duchess of Cambridge visited Chelsea Flower Show on Monday, this famous British garden event expects about 165,000 visitors during the week. Kate was surprised Chris Evans with her obeying the five-second rule – she ate cherry tomato she dropped on the floor.
After such unusual snack, Kate Middleton told the Radio 2 Chris Evans that cherry tomato was delicious and sweet. Duchess Kate added:
‘I loved it. I’m just getting into gardening with the children.’

Kate Middleton and Prince William live at Anmer Hall, in Norfolk where the Cambridges have their own expansive kitchen garden. The 35-year-old Kate told that they grew there an asparagus. As a mother, she started to teach George what the plants are not edible like the foxgloves – they’re poisonous.
Queen Elizabeth is also an experienced gardener, monarch led the royal garden party together with other Windsors. In her conversation with Chris Evans, Queen revealed that she had listened to his radio show that morning as he broadcast from Chelsea.
He said:
‘She said, “I was listening to you this morning” because it was the Chelsea Flower Show.’ She loved the garden, she was here for a while.’
