Conor McGregor’s disciplinary case was reheard by the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC), the management was interested in the details of mess with the bottle at UFC 202 press conference. McGregor allowed himself to throw the bottle and was punished for such a behaviour. Now the initial penalty significantly reduced.

Conor McGregor’s penalty for the incident with a bottle in October press conference cost him $75,000 fine and 50 hours. However, MAC decided to rehear this case and it recent verdict is much milder, for misbehave Conor got $25,000 fine and 25 hours of community service.

The meeting of the NAC took place on Wednesday, prior to reducing the punishment, the UFC management took into account that McGregor-Diaz bottle-throwing was rather useful for the UFC 202. The incident was actively promoted on various media, and made that fight week as successful as never before. As a result, in commercial terms, that UFC 202 become one of the highest-selling UFC pay-per-views of all-time.

McGregor’s reaction to the $75,000 fine and 50 hours was predictable, the Dubliner said,

“Whatever, it is what it is. Good luck trying to get it. I don’t see Nevada in my future, for the foreseeable future is how I see it. I’m free to do what I want.”
