Highlights on the Republican debate

The republican debate took place with all protocols being observed, one of the interesting factor that went down was Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio attacking each other hard on immigration in Saturday night’s GOP presidential primary debate, with Cruz hitting on the “Rubio-Schumer amnesty plan” and Rubio accusing Cruz of lying.

Cruz argued Rubio has been too mild on immigration and condemning him for supporting a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants. Rubio hit back by arguing that Cruz once supported legalization.

Things got intensified when Cruz recalled an interview Rubio did on Spanish-language television as evidence he would not rescind executive actions taken by President Obama.

“I don’t know how he knows what I said on Univision because he doesn’t speak Spanish,” Rubio shot back.

Few minutes later, former Florida governor Jeb Bush and he New York businessman Donald Trump argued on immigration. Trump said former Florida governor had the weakest immigration record of all the candidates.

They started arguing on who is to be blamed for the Sept.11 attacks

Bush moved to other issues in his hit-back against Trump, saying it is “weak to disparage women. It’s weak to disparage Hispanics.”

Earlier, Trump hit former President George W. Bush hard, directing some blame at him for the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks and saying he erred badly by invading Iraq in 2003.

Trump also argued loudly on the issue with Jeb Bush, who came out tackling and going against Trump’s foreign policy.

Bush accused Trump of dangerously initiating a friendly a relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Middle East. As Trump defended himself, he was booed by the crowd. Trust Trump, he knows the reply for every attack thrown at him, Trump argued that the people who were booing him were Bush’s “special interests and lobbyists.

Trump later condemned George W. Bush for making a “mistake” invading Iraq.

Jeb Bush hit-back: “I could care less about the insults Donald Trump gives to me. … I am sick and tired of him going after my family.”

“The World Trade Center came down during the reign of George Bush. He kept us safe?” Trump said. “I lost hundreds of friends” in the 9/11 terrorist attack.

Bush writes-off Trump’s foreign policy knowledge: “This is from a guy who gets his foreign policy from the shows.”

Rubio also came out his own reason for the Spt. 11 attacks, he blamed the Sept. 11 attacks on instead former President Bill Clinton. “The World Trade Center came down because Bill Clinton didn’t kill Osama bin Laden when he had the chance to kill him,” Rubio said.
