Timothy Spall, the star of Blandings and Harry Potter, will take part in the filming of ITV’s four-part series about Hatton Garden heist.
The British actor Timothy Spall will play the role of one of the characters in the upcoming criminal drama about Hatton Garden heist. Spall known not only as Peter Pettigrew in the Harry Potter film series (2004-2010) but as Clarence Threepwood, Ninth Earl of Emsworth from the P.G. Wodehouse novels.
ITV has announced it’s throwing its hat into the Hatton Garden ring with a four-part drama based on the notorious cash and jewellery burglary. The four-part drama will tell the story of the unlikely gang of elderly London robbers who pulled off the bold £25 million jewellery raid in the diamond district of London over the Easter bank holiday weekend in 2015.
“I think the audience will be fascinated by this story and Jeff’s compelling dramatisation of it,”
said Polly Hill, head of drama at ITV. The shooting process scheduled to begin in London in June. The producers are anticipating the powerful criminal drama with the strong characters and unforgettable final. Mr Spall with his bright performer’s gift is able to make the movie a real drama.
This actor played Sir Winston Churchill in both Jackboots on Whitehall and The King’s Speech, both movies released in 2010. This makes him the second actor to play Churchill twice, in two otherwise unrelated productions.
