Sisi, Egypt, Trump are the central news of the week, President is going to invite to the White House the dictator. On Monday, the Egypt’s military ruler Abdel Fattah el-Sisi will step onto the red carpet, which is rolled out for him by the US.

The Egypt’s ruler Abdel Fattah el-Sisi was on the black list for Obama administration, the brutal dictator was never invited by then-times White House because of his poor reputation. Sisi’s government never associated with the human rights and democracy, at least.

Sisi, Egypt, Trump will become a main theme of the upcoming week, the Middle East problematic is the central one in the foreign policy of the United States, that’s why on Monday, the meeting of two leaders, Sisi and Trump, will offer important clues about how American leader plans to engage with foreign dictators with poor human rights records. In other words, this meeting will be also a key to Trump’s effort to bolster ties with Arab allies in the fight against Islamists across the Middle East.

Sisi, Egypt, Trump: what will be the next step

In September, Rep. nominee Trump called Sisi a “fantastic guy,” maybe, he is the first foreign leader to reach Trump after his election. In fact, the western governments have protested Sisi’s imprisonment of thousands of people on dubious political charges, but Trump has openly praised the Egyptian autocrat’s ruthlessness.

“He took control of Egypt. And he really took control of it,”

Trump noted in a September interview with the Fox Business Network. The meeting is almost coincided with the releasing from jail the previous leader of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak. The western world liked him, indeed, the White House called Mr Mubarak even a ‘dear friend’. Time to improve the relations with Egypt, Trump decided.
