The younger sister of Queen Maxima of Holland found dead in her apartments in Buenos Aires on Thursday, DM reported.
The 33-year-old Inés Zorreguieta was a younger sister of Queen Maxima of Holland, she was also a godmother to Maxima’s 11-year-old daughter Princess Ariane. A spokesman for the Dutch Embassy in Argentina told La Nacion that authorities ‘assume it was a case of suicide.’ According to insiders, Ines was suffering from depression.
Inés Zorreguieta has been found hanged at her home in Argentina, her body was found at the apartment in Buenos Aires late on Wednesday night. Ms Zorreguieta’s depression was caused by the mental health issues. Queen’s sister was working for the government in Argentina as an official in the Ministry of Social Development. Inés was the youngest of government minister Jorge Zorreguieta and his second wife María del Carmen Cerruti Carricart’s children. Last year, Ines’s father died from cancer at the age of 89, his passing away became the great shock for Ines.
After the removing Ines’ body from her home on Thursday’s morning, the post-mortem examination will take place.
The 47-year-old Queen Maxima has cancelled all upcoming protocol events to fly to her native Buenos Aires on Thursday. She had been due to attend Holland Festival this week, but her appearance has been cancelled. Maxima had also been set to accompany her husband, King Willem-Alexander, on their tour of Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia next week.
