Melania will no longer join Trump on trip to Davos

Melania will no longer join Trump on trip to Davos

Melania Trump will no longer join her husband on his trip to Switzerland. This year’s World Economic Forum promises to be one of the most interesting economic events in the history. Donald Trump will go to Davos, Switzerland, without his first lady.

The popularity of the first family is falling down, the recent news about Melania’s decision didn’t add the popularity to Trumps as well. On Monday, Stephanie Grisham, the presidential couple’s spokeswoman,  told the press that the first lady will skip the trip WEF over “scheduling and logistical issues.”

Thus, Donald Trump will travel to the gathering of global elites alone while his wife stays at the White House to resolve those “scheduling and logistical issues.” According to Ms  Grisham, Melania was initially set to join her husband in a show of support. Taking into account that POTUS’ attendance in Davos forum was questionable (the government shutdown happened), but the White House said he would attend if the shutdown ended before his scheduled departure.

On Monday night, President Trump ended the shutdown issue, signing a funding bill.

Melania Trump, the White House, and Stormy Daniels

Mrs Trump spent a rather busy month, she hasn’t made a public statement since The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen made a $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels just before the 2016 election to stay quiet about an alleged sexual encounter with Trump in 2006.

It is pretty logical that Mr Cohen has denied the report. Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, told “In Touch” in a 2011 interview published last week that she had an affair with the billionaire Trump after his marriage to Melania in 2005. She kept that in secret over a decade, why – that is the question.
