The US President Trump denied he wants Secretary of State’s resigns. On Thursday, the news report said Mr Tillerson had called the president a “moron”.
Donald Trump wrote on Twitter that Secretary of State never threatened to resign, this is one of the Fake News put out by NBCNews. The President added,
‘Low news and reporting standards. No verification from me,’
added POTUS.
Moreover, all this fakenews buzz started from the stupid news – as if Rex Tillerson called the US President a ‘moron’. Both top officials denied this and strongly recommend to the NBCNews service be more precise and accurate while publication of the news.
NBC had reported that Vice-President Mike Pence and other top officials had intervened to persuade Tillerson not to resign this summer as tensions rose between him and Trump. During Thursday, both Trump and Tillerson explained that all this news is a fake one.
According to Mr Tillerson, the NBCNews story was “intended to divide” and that he was “not going to deal with petty nonsense.” Of course, there have been other moments of tension between State Secretary and President, but Tillerson seemed to make the statement for an audience of one, to reaffirm his commitment to POTUS and his agenda.
