China will help Syria defend its sovereignty, Wang Yi said.

China will help Syria defend its sovereignty and restore stability. Beijing is opposed to terrorist forces creating chaos, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday.

“Currently, the situation in Syria has suddenly changed, China will continue to support the Syrian people,” Wang Yi said at a conference on the international situation in 2024 and Chinese diplomacy.

He added that China “will prevent terrorist forces from seizing the opportunity to wreak havoc, and help Syria defend its sovereignty and restore stability.”
