Melania Trump attends first official event after 24-day absence from public eye

Despite the White House did announce Melania Trump would not be accompanying the president to the upcoming G7 Summit in Montreal, the first lady have appeared on Monday at first official event after a 24-day absence from the public eye.

Melania Trump looked good and relaxed while she was attending the reception in the White House. Entering the event alongside President Trump, the first lady appeared well as she was videoed walking in, despite the White House saying no press coverage of the event would be allowed.

Monday’s White House event honouring Gold Star families who lost loved ones in the US military. The first lady’s dark outfit and six-inches shoes made her look suitable for such occasion. FLOTUS stayed for the whole ceremony, which was nearly an hour long. She didn’t speak but sat in the front row as the president spoke, attendees said. Later, Mrs Trump spoke to families in the room and noted in her statement Monday night,  it was a ‘privilege’ to welcome the Gold Star families to the White House.

Melania Trump will not accompany her husband to Canada summit

The White House has already announced Mr Trump will fly to the upcoming G7 Summit in Montreal, Canada alone. Mrs Trump will not accompany her husband from 7-9 June nor the most anticipated meeting of the year – with the North Korean leader in Singapore.

In Canada, President Trump is expected to get grief for his new tariff policy, the discussions will be hard. When divorced Vladimir Putin makes international visits alone, it is fully understandable, but Melania’s absence makes the presidential trips a bit strange. FLOTUS has gone on other prominent international trips. Mrs Trump joined the president in Asia in November of last year and accompanied him to France in April of this year.
