Michael Parks dead: Twin Peaks and Kill Bill actor dies aged 77

e aired Michael Parks, the Hollywood actor who played in the famous Twin Peaks, dies aged 77. His death comes just weeks prior to the reboot of this legendary TV-series.

Michael Parks played the role of Canadian drug runner Jean Renault – in the first season of Twin Peaks. In 1990, this appearance made him a real star, the actor was always grateful to the director his in David Lynch who gave Parks this incredible chance to take part in the 1990s cult TV series Twin Peaks.

Later, the veteran character actor starred in other legendary movies like Kill Bill Vol 1 and 2, Argo and Red State. Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez and Kevin Smith were glad to work together on the set of their films.

Twin Peaks without Michael Parks

The second season of Twin Peaks will be aired on Showtime in the US and on Sky Atlantic in the UK, right after 25 years after the original. Unfortunately, Michael Parks did not appear in the new series, tributes poured in as the news of his death broke as film lovers spoke of his talent and memorable roles.

The colleagues are paying a tribute to the talented actor who passed away on Tuesday morning. His agent Jane Schulman was the first who told this saddest news. The American performer is described by director Kevin Smith as “the most incredible thespian I ever had the pleasure to watch perform”.

Michael’s performing was unbelievably deep and full of truth, his fans remembering today all the roles played by this gifted actor. Acting in Perry Mason and Dynasty, and later Parks enjoyed a number of film parts in From Dusk Till Dawn, Red State and Tusk.

Michael Parks is survived by his wife, Oriana, and son James.
