The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be actively involved in the G7 events this weekend. For the young royal couple, the engagement of such a high level will be for the first time.
Queen Elizabeth’s eldest grandson and his wife were definitely promoted recently. The Cambridges will take part in their first G7 summit events in Cornwall set for the weekend.
On Friday afternoon, William and Kate will attend the G7 leaders reception at the Eden Project. They will be joined by the Queen, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
According to Buckingham Palace, Charles and William will host a reception for the leaders and CEOs from some of corporations to discuss how the private sector can work with governments to tackle the climate challenges.
Bidens arrived in the UK for G7 summit
The first American couple has arrived in Cornwall on Wednesday evening. On June 11th, Duchess Kate and First Lady Jill Biden will conduct a joint engagement.
The first lady of the United States (FLOTUS) has revealed some details regarding the upcoming meeting of the royal family.
“Joe and I are booking looking forward to meeting the Queen. That’s an exciting part of the visit for us. We’ve looked forward to this for weeks and now it’s finally here. It’s a beautiful beginning,” Jill Biden said and added she hopes to focus on education.
The President and the First Lady are also due to have tea with the Queen at Windsor Castle on Sunday (13 June).
Despite the pandemic, the royal party will meet local Big Lunch volunteers and thank them for their efforts in supporting their communities through the challenges of the past year.
