Earthquake in Italy leaves at least 21 dead

Earthquake in Italy killed at least 21 people, say the authorities. Many people are now under rubble, rescue teams is releasing them from the traps, which the earthquake magnitude 6.2 has caused. The natural disaster hit at 01:36 GMT, 100km north-east of Rome.

Earthquake in Italy, which took place to the north-east of Rome caused 21 death, according to the authorities report. The village of Pescara del Tronto was levelled to the ground, say the rescuers, so the death toll here is the highest. The small town of Amatrice was reduced to rubble, and an epicentre was around Accumoli.

The earthquake magnitude 6.2 is very powerful one, some buildings in the Rome shook for 20 seconds. and some areas in regions of Umbria, Lazio and Marche felt the shaking ofEarth. The worst situation now is in Amatrice, five dead in this small town; rescue efforts are under way to find survivors. The mayor Sergio Pirozzi assured that:

“The roads in and out of town are cut off. Half the town is gone. There are people under the rubble. There’s been a landslide and a bridge might collapse.”
