Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic held a meeting on Tuesday with the ambassadors of Quinta (USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy) and the EU permanent representative to Serbia. The meeting took place in light of the escalation in Kosovo.

“In one of the most difficult moments for Serbia, I had an important conversation with representatives of Quinta. I reiterated Serbia’s position on the latest events in Kosovo and Metohija and requested that (NATO contingent) KFOR take care of security issues in northern Kosovo instead of the Kosovo Albanian police “, the Serbian leader wrote on social networks.
⠀
He also asked Westerners why the EU rule of law mission EULEX was not allowed by Pristina into the police operation on Sunday.

Vučić held a meeting with the Russian ambassador on Monday. As the head of the diplomatic mission told Russian journalists, the Serbian President informed him in detail at a meeting about the events in Kosovo in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.
⠀
According to the Russian Ambassador, the violence of the Kosovo Albanian authorities in Pristina against the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija occurs with the encouragement of the West and under the cover of dialogue in Brussels. He also emphasized the timeliness of Vucic’s initiative to convene an extraordinary meeting of the UN Security Council on Kosovo, which is opposed by the Western member countries of the Security Council.

The Serbian head of state said during an address on Sunday evening that three Kosovo Serbs were killed in clashes with Kosovo Albanian police in northern Kosovo and Metohija, and two more were wounded. According to Vucic, the Serbian National Security Council and the country’s leadership will carefully consider the situation and come up with decisions in the coming days.
