The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating a possible violation of the law by former US President Donald Trump, this may result in a prison term for him

The FBI is “investigating Trump for deletion or destruction of records, obstruction of an investigation, and violations of the espionage law.”

It is noted that a conviction for these violations can lead to imprisonment or a fine.
Previously, during a search of Trump’s house, they found documents marked as top secret. Their content is not disclosed. In total, FBI agents seized about 20 boxes of belongings, folders with photographs, a handwritten note and a pardon document from his former adviser Roger Stone from Trump’s house.


The Trump estate was searched on August 8. He explained their possible participation in the 2024 elections.

“After working and cooperating with the relevant government authorities, this unannounced raid on my home was neither necessary nor appropriate,” the politician said in a statement.
