There were no reports of ceasefire violations in Gaza in the first half hour.

There have been no reports of a violation of the truce in the Gaza Strip half an hour after it came into force.

On Friday morning at 07.00 local time, a four-day truce began between the Israeli army and the Palestinian Hamas movement that rules the Gaza Strip.

After half an hour, the parties had not yet accused each other of violating the truce, and there were no reports of this in the media either. At the same time, the Israeli army stated that the air raid signal sounded near the border with the Gaza Strip, this happened a quarter of an hour after the truce came into force.

On Wednesday it became known that Israel and Hamas, with the mediation of Qatar, reached the first large-scale agreement since the conflict escalated on October 7: the parties agreed to cease hostilities for four days to exchange dozens of hostages and detainees held by each other.

Later, Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid al-Ansari said that the humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip will come into effect on Friday at 7:00 local time, the first batch of Israeli hostages of 13 people will be handed over on the same day at about 16:00 local time. In total, it is planned to exchange 50 Israeli hostages for 150 Palestinian prisoners, the majority of those released are women and children.

Every day, as part of the truce, 200 trucks with aid and four with fuel and household gas will enter the Gaza Strip. In addition, Hamas indicated that it was possible to agree with Israel on “a complete suspension of its aviation flights in the southern part of the country for four days, and in the northern part – a suspension of flights for six hours, from 10.00 to 16.00.”

At the same time, Hamas threatened that its “battalions will remain in full combat readiness to protect the Palestinian people and resist the occupation, despite the agreement on a temporary truce with Israel.
