There was the first protest because of the program of the new government in Finland

The first protest against the program of action of the new, 77th government of Finland, organized by representatives of the IT industry, took place on Sunday in the Finnish capital.

On Friday, June 16, the negotiating group for the formation of the 77th Cabinet of Finland presented a program of action for its four-year mandate. Among the many changes, it is proposed to tighten the migration policy in Finland. In particular, to increase the period for obtaining Finnish citizenship from four to eight years, to cancel the residence permit in the country due to work in the absence of employment for three months, and others.

“Working immigrants are against unfair changes in the rules of immigration and protection of workers,” Ivan Ivashkovsky, one of the organizers of the event, said.

More than 600 users expressed interest in the event on social networks. Among the posters of the protesters were: “We work in Finland, we work for Finland”, “Migrants are not a danger”, “We are not illegal immigrants”, “We work in July” (a reference to the mass holiday season in Finland) and others.

It is expected that after the approval of the 77th government by the country’s parliament, computer industry specialists will continue protests.
