Maduro urged not to accept gifts of electronics after the explosion of pagers.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro urged people not to accept gifts in the form of electronics after the detonation of pagers and other communications equipment in Lebanon.

During a speech at an event promoting Venezuelan culture and crafts, the president urged citizens to monitor their phones due to a series of explosions in Lebanon on September 17 and 18.

“I usually give books… To some I give… handmade wooden chests, inside of which I put Venezuelan coffee, sweets, cocuy (traditional Venezuelan alcoholic drink). Don’t accept donated electronics, be careful with your phones, see what happened in Lebanon,” Maduro advised, his speech broadcast on local TV channel VTV.
