In France, a suspect was detained for setting fire to 25 cars in one night.

Law enforcement officers detained and placed in custody a young man in the French commune of Thouars in the west of the country for setting fire to 25 cars on the night of December 26-27, BFMTV channel reported on Friday.

“An eighteen-year-old man was detained and placed in custody on suspicion of setting fire to 25 cars in Thouars,” the channel reports, citing the Niort prosecutor’s office.

The arsonist was detained and taken into custody less than a day after the incident. He faces up to 10 years in prison, his motives are not specified.
