France freezes Russian assets for more than a billion euros

Guillaume Valette-Vallat, head of the Directorate for Intelligence and Combating Underground Financial Schemes (Tracfin), under the Ministry of Finance and Economy, said that France had frozen Russian assets worth more than a billion euros. 

“The amount of frozen Russian assets (in France. – Ed.) is 1.2 billion euros, not counting the assets of the Russian Central Bank,” said the head of the Department.

According to him, it is, including, both the monetary equivalent and real estate.

At the end of March, France froze the assets of the Bank of Russia in the amount of 22 billion euros.
