Estonia has strengthened the protection of its borders.

Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas said that the country has strengthened border security and is closely monitoring the situation with the private military company (PMC) Wagner in Russia. The politician announced this on Twitter.

Kallas stated that there is no direct threat to Estonia. However, the authorities are monitoring the situation and exchanging information with allies.

“I can assure you that there is no direct threat to our country. Border security has been strengthened. I also urge our people not to travel to any part of Russia,” the prime minister wrote.


Earlier, a spokesman for the Elysee Palace said that French President Emmanuel Macron is also monitoring the developments in the Wagner PMC situation. At the same time, the Elysee Palace continues to focus on supporting Ukraine.
