Britain will upgrade its nuclear arsenal.

Britain is going to replace nuclear warheads as part of the modernization of nuclear weapons, according to an updated report from the country’s defense ministry.

The document states that the program to replace aging nuclear submarines with Dreadnought-class submarines is still in effect.

“To ensure that we maintain an effective deterrent throughout the commissioning of the Dreadnought-class, we will also be replacing our existing nuclear warheads,” the report said.

It is noted that both submarines and new warheads are designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom.
