A US military convoy has arrived in Syria.

A US military convoy consisting of more than 30 vehicles arrived at the American base at the Koniko gas field in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria, a Syrian military source said.

“An American military convoy, consisting of more than 30 vehicles with logistical equipment and military equipment, arrived at the American base at the Koniko gas field in the north of Deir ez-Zor province,” the source said.

The convoy arrived from Hasakah province in northeastern Syria.

Earlier, a Syrian military source reported that the United States again sent a convoy with weapons, ammunition and logistics equipment from Iraq to northeast Syria.

Since 2014, under the pretext of fighting the terrorist group ISIS (Islamic State), the American military command and their allies have sent their troops to northern Syria without the approval of official Damascus. To date, 24 Western coalition bases and four command headquarters have been deployed. US military bases in the northeast of the Syrian Arab Republic are regularly subjected to missile strikes and drone attacks by Iraqi paramilitary forces.
