Opponents of the American authorities began marching through the streets of the American capital as part of the No Kings protests.

Several hundred protesters are marching through the streets, chanting calls for the resignation of US President Donald Trump and the withdrawal of US migration police officers from American cities.

The largest demonstrations are due to take place in the city of Minneapolis, Minnesota, where protests broke out last year following the killing of several people during immigration police raids.
