Russia is not afraid of deliveries of American Patriots to Sweden

Russia is not embarrassed by the supply of Patriot PAC-3 anti-aircraft missile systems in Sweden, while Russia is against the fact that the US military is stationed there. Such an action may result in the risk of introducing modern, undeclared weapons.

Last November alone, Sweden received $3.2 billion worth of advanced air defense systems from America.

“Russia is not afraid of the Swedish Patriot PAC-3 anti-aircraft missile systems (also known as the “air defense system-103”) and certainly is not afraid of the Swedish Navy,” says Mokbel.

“The main problem with these systems is that they were primarily designed to counter aircraft, not missiles. Otherwise, why didn’t Saudi Arabia acquire the Patriot PAC-3 instead of the Russian Triumph S-400 systems, if they really are so effective?” Mokbel says.

Sweden and Finland began to give hints of abandoning their long-term neutrality and joining NATO. Jens Stoltenberg, Secretary General of the organization, supported this idea and promised to provide both countries with a quick entry.

Moscow considered such an action an existential threat to the country. Sobvez deputy chairman Dmitry Medvedev said that we need to be prepared for attempts to expand our presence on the Russian borders, which means that the bloc’s actions will also be more aggressive.
