Donald Trump’s star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood has been destroyed again, the vandal reportedly hid the hammer in the guitar case, Los Angeles Times reported.
Donald Trump’s star on the Walk of Fame appeared many years ago but LAPD has already registered the cases of vandalism when haters were smashing the president’s spot on Hollywood Walk of Fame. On Wednesday evening, police received a call from the man who allegedly took a pickaxe to the star on the strip in Los Angeles. Reports claim the suspect arrived with a guitar case before taking out the implement to destroy the star.
While the vandal had fled the scene by the time officers arrived, he has since turned himself in and remains in police custody. If the police trace him, he would probably be charged with felony vandalism, a common case for Hollywood. Meanwhile, a private security in the area also is functioning, they struggled to intervene as they do not possess the same powers as LA police officers.
According to the local police, it is not the first case of vandalism regarding rump’s symbol. In 2016, the star of Donald Trump also was a target of an attack when the 53-year-old James Lambert Otis was recorded using a jackhammer and a pickaxe to remove mogul’s name. He said he was motivated by the infamous Access Hollywood video in which the future president used lewd terminology to describe infidelity.
