Obama, The One-Term President?

Right in time for the run up to the 2010 congressional elections, Obama’s approval ratings are at an all time low. So low in fact, that he would have an extremely difficult time winning reelection if the presidential election was held in 2010. Obama’s ratings are horrible with independents with only 36%? saying they approve of the president’s performance.
The biggest question is not if Obama can rebound in the poll numbers before election, he is aligning almost everything so that will be assured, but how much his disapproval ratings will have on the upcoming congressional elections. With a president who is preforming poorly, the democrats will have an extremely difficult time holding on to the majority they have abused. That is not to say there has been no abuse from the republican side of the isle either… People are getting fed up with corruption on both sides, and it is about time. There is not just “one enemy,” anybody who is corrupt or self serving should be voted out. Yes, I know that will not happen, but still… Nice thoughts, nice thoughts.
In an interesting note, 98% of African-American still approve of the President’s performance, while only 37% of white voters do… which is something that really makes me scratch my head. I would have figured 60%.

Constitution-ignoring patriots need to emphasize the following about the badly behaving federal government. People have forgotten that the Founders made the Constitution to limit the powers of the federal government. So regardless that Obama is hopefully a one-term president, voters can actually start destroying the phony powers now wrongly associated with the Oval Office and Congress as early as 2010.
What voters need to do is this. Voters need to elect pro-state power lawmakers to both the federal and state governments in 2010 who will use their legislative votes in the following way. Pro-state power lawmakers need to use their votes to effectively repeal the ill-conceived, anti-state sovereignty 16th and 17th Amendments, much like corrupt DC Democrats are now using their votes to effectively repeal the rest of the Constitution.
The foolish 16th and 17th Amendments unthinkingly destroyed the voice of the constitutionally powerful state legislatures in the constitutionally humbled federal Congress, making it very difficult for the states and the federal Senate to fight constitutionally unauthorized federal taxes (did you hear that bankrupt California?) and illegal federal interference in people’s lives.
Again, voters can give some real momentum to the state sovereignty restoration movement by electing pro-state power lawmakers to the federal and state legislatures in 2010.
The bottom line is that, if it weren’t for the facts that the president is Commander in Chief and also nominates USSC justices, if voters destroy the phony powers associated with the Oval Office then Obama could keep the Oval Office for life for all I care. In fact, once Obama realizes that his phony powers are gone then he’s probably going to be on the golf course 24/7 anyway.
Finally, the following link should help give people an idea how state sovereignty-ignorant voters have shot themselves in the foot with big, corrupt federal government as a consequence of the ill-conceived, anti-state sovereignty 16th and 17th Amendments.
