Chomsky: IAEA passed resolution demanding Israel open nuclear sites

Prof. Noam Chomsky talks about how the IAEA calls on Israel to open up their nuclear facilities to inspection by the global body of the IAEA.

Chomsky also points out that this news got absolutely no mention in the American press. This simple observation by Chomsky shows just how unbalanced the coverage of Iranian pursuits of nuclear power have been in the US.
Several months back when former President Carter dared to speak the unspoken truth as to the existence of Israel’s nuclear stockpile, he was scolded and shunned in the American press for revealing such “secrets.”

If we are not willing to confront the nuclear problem as a whole, rather than picking and choosing who we help develop nuclear capability and who we threaten for such development, we are simply not making the world any safer.
Chomsky also talks about how the US helped both Pakistan and India develop their nuclear technology. Now it has become obvious that the US has potentially armed both sides of a potential conflict with nuclear weapons, but unfortunetly it happened because the US government was so focused on their narrow interests, either they did not see the potential disaster or they did not think it out weighed their own goals. Either way, it is not acceptable.
