Obama Mocks Teabaggers

I find it interesting that Obama decided not to rise above the rhetoric that was used on MSNBC, but rather join the starkly partisan chorus of those dismissing the concerns of the protesters.
He says he is willing to have a serious discussion about cutting spending, but unfortunately a lot of the damage is already done. He carefully avoids the topic of bailouts and stimulus money, which served as the true motivation for the protesters.
The good news for the protesters is the fact that Obama feels the need to openly mock them. This shows that not only are they on his radar, but he is worried enough about them that he feels the need to discredit them with humor.

More than happy to discuss the issue’s eh. Someone call Obama and tell him Ron Paul wants to have a sit down with the dear leader.

Worried? Ha! You are very funny!
the incentive to be restrained in one’s response (particularly when the people you’re arguing with are running around screaming about the fascist threat with tea bags dangling absurdly from their hat-brims) is not particularly strong.

But the real reason nobody takes the teabaggers seriously is that they have no answers to several enormous holes in the parody of a protest argument they tried to make last week.

Obama is a complete idiot. Healthcare costs? Healthcare is not a right. It’s your responsibility to educate yourself on how the body works, and how what you put into your body affects your system.

You eat crap with high fructose corn syrup, aspartame, use deodorants loaded with xenoestrogens, eat meat loaded with antibiotics and bovine growth hormone, etc. and you wonder why you get cancer? Wonder why you get heart disease?

I never get sick, and can’t get sick. I know how the body works, and how to naturally treat and prevent any ailment, including cancer, heart disease, thyroid issues, etc.

Let’s worry about the real issues you illegal President, such as: the income tax, big government, less civil liberties, your worthless wars in the middle east, our national debt, the CONSTITUTION, the Federal Reserve, free market capitalism instead of socialism.

Obama could give a crap less about any of you, rest assured.

    RE: what Dan said…

I’d second that, except to say that Obama is not an idiot, he’s a very good pitch-man, it’s those people who thinks he cares about anything other than pushing through the same agenda as GWB that are complete idiots…

Yo Beavis, I think the Tea Parties had more to do with Geitner, Summers and the crooks on Wall Street than health care. Ask Vice President Butthead to stop hitting you in the head.

What really surprises me is that all of you were able to interpret his words as mocking. Fox hijacked the tea parties, gave it vague and dark undertones, then used some of the more radical attendees as representative of the group.

People (most Americans) who did not attend were confused at the purpose. Were you protesting the 3% tax increase on the rich? By the way, that’s still 10% less than what they paid during the Reagan years.

There were numerous tea party signs that stated “No Taxes” at all. FYI, taxes pay my salary (US Army), provide us streets, social services, FD, police, postal service, etc.

I imagine that the original intent of the tea parties had a narrower focus but the message was lost in the fray. Therefore, when he mentions having a discussion on health care, he’s just choosing one of the many topics that were presented by the teabaggers.

The real question is who represents the group well enough to have that “sit-down” with the Pres? Ron Paul, perhaps? Or, was the event propped up by Fox to be a Catch 22 for Obama by presenting numerous, complex issues without a single consensus on a solution for any of them?
