Am I a terrorist?

So, I was pulled over last week… I know, I know big surprise. It was a small town, which means the police officers actually care. I normally do not write about my run ins with police, but this time was different. Just a routine stop, nothing big… my back light was out… that is not the story.
I have a Ron Paul for president sticker on the back of my windshield. The officer thought it was funny that I had a Ron Paul sticker on the back of my car and said “I guess it is safe to say that you did not vote for Obama”, which is a very safe and accurate assumption. We talked for a little bit, and he told me that some departments in other states have been told that a person with a Ron Paul sticker should be considered a terrorist. Now, upon hearing this, I laughed my ass off, but he was serious.
Am I a terrorist? Actually, under the definition given in the USA Patriot Act, I could be considered one. Wow that is scary. I do nothing wrong, I exercise free speech but by no means threaten anybody. Just so we all know… I did not vote for McCain either. The Republican party sold their soul a long time ago by agreeing with the Bush Doctrine…

You should have pointed out the MIAC report and how the Gov. of Missouri re tracked the documents there. Every state should be made aware of Missouri’s blunders.

Please contact Michael German, ACLU and let him know about this experience! On 3/27 ACLU sent a letter to DHS requesting an investigation stemming from the Missouri Fusion Center ( MIAC ) political profiling. Here is a link to that letter with the phone number to contact Mike German! This is very important.. as it proves the report was not just distributed in MO and also that is has encouraged targeting!

Thanks for the comment. The officer was merely telling me it was happening in other states… He never, for one second, treated me like a terrorist…

I understand what you are saying…you did have a light out and he was not aggressive in any way.
What I am wondering is this:

Did he hear that from the news about the MO report or from other states law enforcement?

I am guess it was just Police officer chatter…
Somebody probably mentioned it to him, and my guess is he was talking about MO.
But that’s just my guess… Take a look at the video I just posted on the blog… very scary!
