Who do we believe? Drudge Report or Chicago 2016?
The Chicago Sun Times ran the headline “Drudge wrong on Web site report”. Of course the newspaper who is in Chicago, who has a Chicago 2016 banner at the top of their site, who is posed to gain millions if the games are in town, is being truthful here. The Sun Times has every right to “fact check” the Drudge Report’s story on a local Chicago TV station being strong-armed to stop covering negative sentiment about the games. But the story that the Sun Times printed was not a fact check, it was blatant propaganda.
They interviewed the Chicago 2016 spokesman, who stated that there was no such “request” to run the story. This is Chicago people… Who are we to believe? The fact of the matter is, the Sun Times should not have run with that headline. It would have been fine questioning where exactly the Drudge Report got their “unnamed source”, but to call it wrong completely… that is something else.
In the age where journalistic integrity is gone and each paper or organization is doing everything they can to further their own goals, or just stay alive, these things can be expected. That does not make it any more ok.
Read the Sun Times story and see for yourself. This is propaganda at its finest form.
No wonder why newspapers are going out of business, the internet can do it better. My prediction for 2010, the remaining U.S. newspapers will continue to demonize Craigslist and internet news sources.
Here is the original story from the Drudge Report
FOX-TV CHICAGO ORDERED NOT TO RUN ANTI-OLYMPICS STORY
Sun Sep 27 2009 21:56:11 ETA local TV station that reported on Chicagoans NOT wanting the Olympics has been told NOT to run the report again, insiders tell the DRUDGE REPORT!
The Chicago Olympic Committee told FOX Chicago that its broadcast “would harm Chicago’s chances” to be awarded the games.
The station’s news director ordered staff to hold fire after the report aired once last Thursday morning, claims a source.
Chicago, Madrid, Tokyo and Rio are mounting strong bids for the honor to host in 2016.
The International Olympic Committee makes its decision on Friday. President Obama will lead the in-person push.
Developing…
*Update #2* One of our readers asked the question, “Why does any of this matter? The Sun Times has a declining reader base, while Drudge Report has millions of readers a month.”
Your right, Drudge Report is untouchable. It just further proves that standard media (print/network) will do anything to destroy Drudge, or any other internet source. Drudge Report is typically, nothing more than a bunch of links. The Sun Times would be better off trying to get a link on Drudge than trying to slander it.

Only 16% Like The Job Congress Is Doing… Surprise!
Surprise, Surprise! It does not matter which side of the isle you are on, or if you are right in the middle, you are disgusted with congress. When the American people pay attention to politics, congress tries its very best to put on more than a show than normal. What a sad thing to see. I am almost embarrassed I watch C-Span, though it is the best reality programming on television right now.
If you really need proof that congress is doing horrible, look no further than the most recent Congressional Performance poll by Rasmussen Reports.
“Despite their control of both the House and Senate, Democrats are fairly evenly divided in their views of Congress’ job performance, with 23% who give the legislature good or excellent ratings and 28% who say it’s doing a poor job. A majority of Republicans (64%) and unaffiliated voters (72%) give Congress poor ratings.”
The scariest thing about this poll is that only 19% of Americans feel that congress has done anything to help improve their lives. This means all of the stupid programs that we have been wasting money on have done nothing. This includes the TARP bailout, that other bailout, cash for clunkers, and anything else. These programs have only worked at making the U.S. more in debt. Was Bush the problem? Was Obama the problem? Or… wait for it… Was congress the problem? Nothing a president wants can be done, legally, without congress.
Patriot Act, congress. Cap and Trade, congress. TARP, congress. First, Second, and Third bailout, will be congress.

School Kids Taught to Praise Obama [Video w/Lyrics]
School Kids Taught to Praise Obama in Burlington, NJ. The truth of the video has yet to come out, but if somebody does not drive to NJ to figure this out… I will. If this was filmed DURING school, I am going to flip. I sure hope this was just a bunch of parents putting their kids up to this. If teachers were involved in anyway, while on pay… They should be gone. Plain and simple. It is one thing to put your own children up to things. As long as you do not harm you child feel free to use them for your propaganda. The difference here was this was in a school.
In high school I was literally taught that “some people believe” that redistribution of wealth was a good thing. Needless to say I flipped out and started arguing with the teacher. At least that was high school. Teachers cannot brainwash our children like this. I do not see how anybody can defend this, but I am sure there will be some crazies out there. And no, I am not scared of this video because our President is a black man.
This was filmed at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ and uploaded on June 19, 2009.

Obama Goes Toe-To-Toe With Stephanopoulos On “Tax Increases”
The humor in this video is unquestionable. Whether or not you agree with a public mandate does not even matter. Stephanopoulos tries his hardest to actually question Obama, but of course Obama will not have it.
Obama says that the rise in premiums due to the uninsured is “effectively a tax increase”, but the proposed fines if you are uninsured is definitely not a tax. Obama is unquestionably slick. President Obama may be slowly finding out that his free pass with the media maybe ending as his popularity drops. Remember, the media gave Bush a free pass right until his popularity started to wane. Network media is finally starting to see that Fox News is getting more and more popular due to their reporting of the issues and their asking of hard questions.
Look to see that Obama’s next Media blitz will not go as smoothly as this one. More and more questions will be asked, and more and more questions will actually have proper followups. Once the media realizes that the President can be flustered with “pestering,” such as George Stephanopoulos did, the more blatant B.S. we will begin to see.

A Case Against $35,000 Universities
Where would I be without these videos to get me through the day?
You’re Right, It is not about race.
David Brooks wrote a great column published in the NYT on September 17, 2009 about how the protesters at the rally in D.C. are not racist. He goes on to state the growing problem with the media, and the reporting that is happening.
“What we’re seeing is the latest iteration of that populist tendency and the militant progressive reaction to it. We now have a populist news media that exaggerates the importance of the Van Jones and Acorn stories to prove the elites are decadent and un-American, and we have a progressive news media that exaggerates stories like the Joe Wilson shout and the opposition to the Obama schools speech to show that small-town folks are dumb wackos.
“One could argue that this country is on the verge of a crisis of legitimacy,” the economic blogger Arnold Kling writes. “The progressive elite is starting to dismiss rural white America as illegitimate, and vice versa.”
It’s not race. It’s another type of conflict, equally deep and old.”
When you dismiss the people, the people rebel. Below I re-posted a post by Shaun Booth. In it he shows us how Obama himself openly mocks the growing movement against him. Look at the date of that video… I doubt we would be so “ballsy” (pun intended) now. Even though he was absent from Washington on 9.12, he knows the threat.
